Survived Ike

Well we survived Ike and it was an experience, can't say I want to do it again. We were very lucky in that we only had a minimal amount of damage and time will help clean up all the mess that He left.

Hurricane Ike

Well it looks like another storm is brewing in the gulf and this one maybe coming closer than we would like it to. We are waiting and watching and hoping and praying it does not make its path towards us, we don't wish it upon anyone else but really would not like to have to deal with it. I plan on visiting the store for our supplies either tonight or tomm so we can have our supplies in case we need them.

Hurricane Ike, a storm packing maximum sustained winds of 100 miles per hour with gusts to 130 miles per hour, is in the Gulf of Mexico and headed toward the Texas coast.

Memories

I suppose it is important to take life a little slower, try to remember to stop and take a breath, look at the sky and smell the flowers. Kent has recently lost a close co-worker and past boss to a sudden and unexpected death. It really makes you think about life and how short it really is. We were at the funeral home last evening and the people that came out to see this man and his family was just amazing. BIll had touched so many lives in so many different ways his wife was filled with so much joy to know how much he had meant to all of these people. So take a moment and tell the ones you love what they mean to you, for you never know when the lord will call you home. Love to all my friends and family:) Brenda

Life & Parenting

Will your children ever grow up?? That is a question I have been asking myself alot lately. I can remember when my kids were young I would say things such as ,I can't wait till they talk or walk,or go to school, get a job ,etc. Now I really wish that they were babies again. Life then seemed so much easier now that I think back , I believe that those times were just more manageable. The older I get the more I wish I could turn back the clock and do things much differently.

The family tree

Ok its been awhile since i have been blogging, I am currently working on a family tree and its been consuming alot of my time, there is so much history to learn about with your family, I should have done this years ago and just imagine how much information i would have to this date. So if you have any information you would like to have added on just let me know and I will be happy to enter it. I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday.

Music

Kent & I have added some music to our blog, just some songs that we like to listen to from time to time, enjoy, I am still in the learning process of all of this so hopefully soon I will be able to make this website more fun for all. Love and Kisses to all. Brenda

Dazey

Chris and Kristin have added a new addition to their family, she is 4 months old and as cute as as can be her name is Dazey. They are learning what its like to be parents and having a ball, Their baby seems to be a really smart one. So i guess you can kind of say I am also learning to be a grandma. I have added a picture to the blog so check it out. (p.s. she is a puppy not a baby ) LOL!!

Update

Ok im back at work now and things here are as crazy as i expected to find them, behind as normal and trying to sort through a mess and a stack of papers that I don't understand what got done and what needs to be done, oh well I guess that is just what life is.

Im learning
